Activated Carbon Carbonization and Activation furnaces:
The activated carbon raw material (sawdust, wood chips or plant body) are crushed and dried, and then fed into the carbonization furnaces and activation furnaces to produce activated carbon.
Carbonization furnaces and activation furnaces almost are rotary kiln, which can be designed for continuous production or batch production.
It can be designed according to different raw materials and activators, nitrogen or reducing gas can be used as protective gas, and steam can be used for activated carbon activation.
Our company designs batch and continuous carbonization furnaces and activation furnaces:
Typical continuous wood grains carbonization furnaces (activation furnaces):
Raw material particle size: <8mm
Fuel: Diesel oil / gas
Feed volume: raw material about 18L/min, 1080L/hr,
Bulk density of raw materials:
Raw material moisture content: <15% (provided by customer)
Operating temperature: 600~800℃(carbonization), 850~950℃(activation)
Heating time:
Carbonization time is about 120min.
Activation time: After the carbon material reaches the activation temperature, it can be put into steam to activation and then cooled down. Heating method: Diesel oil / gas burner Burner capacity: Number of burners: Burner Control: ON-OFF action Diesel oil / gas consumption: Furnace tube size: ID250mm * 6mL Number of inlet and outlet tubes: 2 tubes in parallel Furnace tube material: stainless steel tube (SUS310S / Inconel 601)*12tmm, Feeding method: screw conveying Feeding speed: about 200mm/min. Thermometer: K type * 2 pcs, Refractory material: 1260℃ grade ceramic fiber module, thickness about 200mm Gas exhaust port design, can take over by itself to cool and collect wood vinegar by user Incoming and outgoing conveying equipment is not included. set by user. Appearance size of main furnace body: about 6500L*1500W*2500Hmm, Inlet and outlet number: 2 Activation method: steam,
steam consumption: about 4 times the carbon content, steam temperature: 135~150℃
